Opening line:
"I hate First Friday." 
 In a world of Silver elite and Red lower class, Mare has been told she's a nobody because of her blood (there blood is literally red or silver).  Then she meets a handsome stranger, who happens to be a prince. Mare is suddenly hired at the palace, where she unfortunately, or unwittingly, becomes a pawn in a dangerous, political game. 
I wasn't sure I would like this book. I haven't read the series for fear I wouldn't like it. But I do! I'm already reading the next book as I write this review.
